Designed for beginners & dancers who want to strengthen their technique while developing performance skills, Essential Theatre Jazz breaks down the building blocks of musical theatre movement. From foundational steps to storytelling and choreography retention, dancers will develop the versatility needed for both auditions and the stage.
⏰When: Monday's from March 16th - April 13th (no class on Easter Monday).
📍Where: You will receive studio address a couple days prior to the Meet-Up

Each class combines technique, across-the-floor work, and choreography to help dancers build strength, musicality, and confidence in their movement
Flexibility, Strength & Body Awareness: Build the physical foundation of a strong theatre dancer through exercises that improve mobility, alignment, and control. Dancers will develop the strength and awareness needed to move with power, precision, and ease
Essential Theatre Jazz Steps: Master the core vocabulary of theatre jazz, including basic kicks, turns, and dynamic footwork
Storytelling & Choreography: Musical theatre is about more than steps — it’s about performance. Dancers will explore how intention, character, and musicality transform choreography into compelling storytelling

You can be a complete beginner to take this class. Everything will be taught slowly and methodically.
No! You are welcome to dance in socks, bare feet, runners, jazz or character shoes
Great question! We can adapt exercises for more advanced dancers.
Splits are part of the audition! Gotcha😉 No, there are no auditions and no need to worry about lack of flexibility. Although it's something we'll be working on, it's not necessary for Music Theatre dance and storytelling.
