Elevate your skills for the stage

Introductory theatre jazz masterclass

In this introductory theatre jazz masterclass, Jacqueline gives performers the tools to execute basic Theatre Jazz steps while feeling like a dancer. Designed for actors and musical theatre performers who want to feel more confident in choreography, as well as dancers looking to refine and learn foundational technique, this class focuses on building an understanding of the basic steps used in choreography, coordination, and performance quality from the ground up.

The first hour includes a full-body warmup and technique section where we’ll work on basic steps and jumps. In the final 45 minutes, we’ll play with some choreography from Chicago!

By the end of class, participants will walk away feeling more confident learning choreography, performing the movement feeling like a dancer in their body.

Target audience: Musical theatre performers who want to feel more confident in choreography and can attend their next audition as a more capable dancer.
